The Project Brief:

The surgical centre at Kent and Canterbury Hospital comprises four state-of-the-art operating theatres. Part of the project delivered by MTX was to create a hygienic environment within the elective Orthopaedic Theatres whilst protecting the new building’s infrastructure.

In addition, the protective solution would have to fit seamlessly with existing colour scheme already chosen for the new centre.

Solution:

The Intastop i-Gienic+ smooth White and Avocado impact protection wall sheet, infused with Hygienilac, was chosen to cover full-height walls within the theatre. Whilst textured Pale Grey sheet, Silver 1500 wall guard and Dove Grey corner guards were chosen for the anaesthetic room, bedded areas and corridors to protect walls from fast moving traffic. All solutions provide a durable, non-porous easy to clean surface, maintaining a hygienically clean and safe environment for both patient and staff.
