The Project Brief:

The refurbishment of Ward 28 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead had a strict timeframe in which to deliver the entire project to reduce the impact of the ward closure. With stringent specification the project also had to be delivered on budget.

An aesthetically considered and protective ward that would provide a comfortable yet practical environment. Achieved by using the 1200 Handrail and Corner Guard in Pewter. i-Gienic+ Cladding in White with thermoformed corners and welded joints and contrasting transition strips. In addition to, Intaglaze Vision Panels, Removable Door Stop Multilock and Impact Protection Sheet in Periwinkle to face of doors.

Key Considerations:

  • Differing installations due to various aspects of the project completing over a period of time. Stringent specification
  • Required welded joints and thermoformed corners specific to project requirements.
