We are celebrating 30 years in business! And what a year! We have seen strategic growth plans come to fruition and a move to new premises!

Still a privately owned business, Intastop remains renowned in the door and wall protection, anti-ligature and patient safety sectors and is a byword for quality. We are also really proud to have been responsible for developing and manufacturing some of the most iconic products used within private and public healthcare establishments, mental health, care homes, education and leisure facilities.

“Thirty years in business is a superb milestone, and particularly poignant as we continue to evolve and develop to support the needs of our customers and the healthcare sector in the twenty first century,” said Steve Woodhead, Managing Director. “It was wonderful to celebrate with all the team and recognise just what we have achieved together, whilst also looking forward to a bright future as the next generation of our team becomes established in the business.”

We opened the doors to Intastop back in 1992 and was established by John and Marie Hills. At that time, we supplied just one product, the Aluminium Door Edge Guard, which revolutionised maintenance programmes within the healthcare sector. Family members continue to work in the business today and continue to focus on strong core values, the foundations on which the company was built, and we are delighted to be still well respected amongst customers and industry peers.

“The move to larger premises this year has firmly established the business and our plans for the next ten years as production capacity increases and extra members of the team are appointed to deliver our plans,” said Steve “We will continue to pioneer new products, new partnerships and provide high quality training across all our products and services to ensure we continue to support our key market sectors and tackle the challenges that they face.”

The new facility, which has seen our expansion from 12,000sqft of space to 20,000sqft, is due to be officially opened early next year.

“We believe in family, we believe in people and we believe in each other, so now as we start another new chapter in our history together, we’re excited to continuing to grow as an integral part of the wider healthcare and anti-ligature market and manage change in areas such as mental health care, building design and maintenance, and infection control,” continued Steve.
