The team from Intastop, a manufacturer of renowned door, wall and people protection products, has announced its attendance at a leading mental health conference which takes place annually.
The ‘Design in Mental Health’ Conference provides a forum for discussion amongst industry peers and an opportunity to showcase products which support the mental health industry in a variety of ways from building infrastructure to patient care.
Sarah Barsby Marketing Director Intastop Ltd commented; “This event is always well attended and allows us to engage with our peers and customers as we discuss important topics and demonstrate our products and how they support the sector. We look forward to another successful show and to establishing current issues and how our products can support mental health staff and patients in a variety of ways.”
Alongside its superb range of products designed to protect people such as its door top alarm, anti-ligature and door vision panels the team will be showcasing a new product – stainless steel door surrounds which are designed to protect the door from general wear and tear but more importantly, protect the patient reducing the opportunity for self-harm with its anti-ligature credentials.
“Protecting patients is the highest priority in mental health establishments and we recognise the need to ensure this is achieved whilst also providing a safe, well maintained environment for patients whilst they are being cared for,” said Sarah. “Our products balance the needs of patients, staff and building specification and maintenance to create safe environments for all.”
The Design in Mental Health Conference will take place on 15th and 16th May at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.
