Intastop installed its IPC 1000 LED Handrail system in corridors leading to Wards 6 and 7. The system combines strength and infection control with integrated LED lighting to improve visibility and support patient orientation, particularly at night.

The Project

The project required a bespoke approach as the existing wall structure could not support direct handrail installation. Intastop provided secure pattresses and managed the installation in full, delivering a professional finish while minimising disruption to the live ward environment.

Market Ready LED Handrail

Unlike other systems on the market, the 1000 LED Handrail is fully market-ready with no customisation required. It offers programmable, dimmable lighting with variable temperatures, standard 12’ lengths to reduce seams, and a continuous mounting bracket for added safety. The LED light, protected by a clear PVC lens, is UL listed, meets ADA and ANSI safety codes, and has been tested to GREENGUARD Children & School standards. The product is also available in Intastop’s sustainable G2 BioBlend® material and a range of woodgrain finishes.
