Andy Owen, Product Development Engineer at Intastop, brings his passion for design to the forefront at Intastop since starting with the company in April 2023.Andy explains that his journey into the world of design commenced early, inspired by collaboration on woodworking projects with his older brother. This passion solidified through the attainment of a BA Hons in Product Design at Sheffield Hallam University.

At Intastop, Andy’s role as a Product Design Engineer is pivotal in designing innovative products that seamlessly blend form and function, contributing to Intastop’s continued commitment to pushing the boundaries of design. Andy’s commitment extends beyond design, with the recent completion of a Mental Health First Aid course. Eager to contribute to mental health initiatives within the company, he aims to foster a workplace culture that prioritizes well-being.

Beyond professional pursuits, Andy’s achievements reflect his determination and discipline. Conquering the Three Yorkshire Peaks, exploring nature with his wife and son, and completing his first marathon in 3 hours and 15 minutes in 2023 showcases his commitment to personal and professional growth.

In his downtime, Andy immerses himself in woodworking, crafting intricate pieces that demonstrate his attention to detail and love for working with natural materials. Whether designing furniture or creating bespoke items, woodworking serves as a tangible outlet for his artistic expression.
