SECURA Hinge

The SECURAHinge is a full height hinge designed to reduce the risk of ligature. It has softened bearings to greatly reduce the ligature risk between the bearing and hinge leaves which minimises potential self-harm in the open state (i.e when rubbing wrist against hinge).

The SECURAHinge features an Anti-Ligature tip (registered design 4035485) which greatly minimises the potential gap in open and closed positions and ensures no gap behind the bearing. The design features of the tip improve safety, making it ideal for use in a wide variety of situations in healthcare, psychiatric and secure accommodation environments where self-harm is a risk. The secure fixed tip has been tested to DHF TS001:2013 B4 (0.5mm wire).

A Concealed Closer Solution

Combining the safety and efficiency of the SECURAHinge with the power of a Perko Powermatic® Closer can be positioned as low as 300mm from the base of the door. The closer is Fire Tested to BS EN 1634 for 30 and 60 minutes. Opening forces comply with Approved Document M.
