Intastop has retained its silver status accreditation for Investors in People, a nationwide award that recognises businesses with regard its staff, training and people policies.
Intastop, was one of the first UK small companies to receive the Investors in People award (IIP) in 1994 and since then, has continued to deliver an unprecedented level of commitment to its staff, making it a superb place to work and delivering enviable staff retention rates. Silver status accreditation is only awarded to a few companies and places the business within the top 32% of IIP accredited companies which participate in the scheme.
“We are delighted and proud to retain this silver award and remain committed to developing our procedures and policies that support our staff in every element of their employment with us,” commented Sarah Barsby Marketing and HR Director at Intastop. “We have a wonderful team that work together and support each other which we hope is a blueprint as to how businesses can drive growth and profitability whilst positioning their staff at the very heart of what they do and how they achieve it.”
The Investors in People accreditation is held by over 14,000 organisations across the world and has set the standard for better people management defining what is required to manage, support and lead people well to deliver positive impacts on business. It is underpinned by a rigorous assessment and framework which embraces skills and management structures to enhance performance. The accreditation process involves site visits, face to face discussions, a company-wide online survey and observation of the company.
Excellent comments and feedback were given along with some of the key resulting statistics including that 96% of staff said they were satisfied with their job at the company, 92% of staff said that their jobs made good use of their skills and abilities and 100% said they were motivated to see the company succeed.
“It is a challenging process to go through but, it is one of the accreditations that means the most to us as it upholds our company values,” said Sarah. “We are extremely delighted to have achieved the Silver award, it is such a positive accolade to have and, proves to our staff and any potential employees how committed we are to providing a happy and safe working environment whilst also investing in their future.”
