Pen y Bryn Care Home in Bagillt, North Wales, underwent a refurbishment project focused on improving protection and durability within a live care environment.
The Challenge
Delivering the installation within a live care home environment presented several challenges. Work needed to be carried out in high-traffic areas while minimising disruption to residents with complex needs. Specific design considerations were also required to ensure protection systems worked effectively alongside specialist care equipment.
The Solution
A tailored combination of 800 Handrail, 1300 Wall Guard, InPro Textured Sheet, and InPro Heavy Duty Corner Protection was installed to provide robust, long-lasting protection throughout the facility. This combination offers strong impact resistance, easy maintenance, and a wide choice of colours to complement the interior environment. Installation was adapted to suit the live setting, with off-site preparation and out-of-hours working. On-site expertise also allowed for bespoke adjustments, including an alternative solution for skirting protection to ensure compatibility with care equipment.
