An innovative new handrail designed specifically for the mental health sector by Intastop, Inpro and an NHS Trust, will be on show on the company’s stand (416) at this year’s Design in Mental Health exhibition.  In addition, Intastop will be showcasing an expansive range of products aimed at greatly reducing ligature risk.

The Inpro IPC 1000BH Handrail, which sits within Intastop’s Protecting People range of products, encompasses the latest in technological advancements to support patient safety.  It has been designed with a unique integrated aluminium channel and a flatter angle from the top of the handrail down to the bracket to further reduce potential pick and ligature points.

Intastop will be displaying a variety of new Protecting People products designed with mental health and anti-ligature in mind. Another product on show is the patented SECURA™ Privacy Vision Panel which allows both privacy and visibility into individuals rooms through an innovatively designed mechanism which does not compromise the integrity of the glass. Also, on display will be the newly introduced reduced-ligature Tubocolor grab rails and accessories, the SECURA™ Stop Multilock Removable Doorstop with improved functionality, the Shrouded Double Swing Hinge,  Door Top Alarm and Door Bottom Alarm that is compatible with most staff attack systems.

Furthermore visitors will be able to see first-hand Solid Wood Handrails, a variety of hygienic wall protection products and Aspex®, a printed wall protection sheet that benefits from high-impact durability, providing clear and crisp imagery.

The interactive stand allows visitors to see and feel the quality of products available from the Intastop anti-ligature range, whilst speaking directly with the experts who have been instrumental in designing and bringing the products to market.  All interactions on stand will be managed within the Covid-19 guidelines and any regulations at the time.
